I chose to install a pink parachute to infuse the room with warmth, diffuse the harsh fluorescent lighting, and elevate the overall atmosphere.

Hovering in stillness, just low enough to feel present but unreachable, like a frozen trace of someone who had just departed

We suspended the parachute from the ceiling using a network of clear fishing lines and lightweight rigging, allowing it to hover gently above viewers.

The fabric swelled and curved subtly with the airflow in the room, creating an undulating canopy that seemed to breathe with the space.

While parachutes are typically associated with descent, I reimagined it as a symbol for uplift: soft, suspended, and full of potential.
